We were engaged in the conversion of a former Victorian old riding school building into high specification stables and kennels, with an upper residential dwelling. 

In order to form an open plan first floor, the existing lattice trusses had to be replaced with single-span curved roof beams supported on a first floor structural steel grillage and a series of columns on underpinned foundations.

The perimeter walls were retained and their stability enhanced by tying them into the new steelwork frames.
