Project: Rathfinny Winery
Architect: Design Cubed Architects
The Rathfinny Estate Winery is based on the South Downs in Sussex and occupies a south facing site just three miles from the sea. It has been chosen for the perfect combination of location, soil and climate, and it is intended to create a 400 acre vineyard to produce fine sparkling wines.
Working closely with Design Cubed Architects, our involvement included the design of numerous buildings on site including the spectacular new winery building where the grapes will be turned into sparkling wine.
This fascinating structure is built into the chalk hillside and includes a combination of concrete, steelwork and timber to provide a clear open space where the wines can be produced, sampled, tested and demonstrated to potential purchasers.
