vkhp-consulting were appointed to carry out the structural design of a new extension for a warehouse unit in Coulsdon.

The extension is required to provide additional mezzanine floor space to the original warehouse, but due to site restrictions, the extension will over sail the existing loading and unloading area. This has resulted in an18m clear span requirement.

Composite Westok beams with profile metal decking have been designed to support the new mezzanine floor. Primary and secondary steel trusses have been designed to support the new roof.
